Will I have to have a platform?
If you have a passion for a particular issue, being in a pageant & having a platform is a dream come true to a titleholder. No, you don't have to have a platform; you can just do the pageant because it sounds like a fun, new experience for you. You don't have to have grandiose aspirations of changing the world to enter & win this pageant...it's great to make a difference, and a platform during the pageant certainly provides a valuable resource for that (plus it gives you lots to talk about in your Personal Interview!) And more importantly, educating people about an issue near and dear to you is very gratifying & a wonderful way to spend your year as a local (or state/national) titleholder, and is to be commended.
When and where is the pageant?
The Pageant will be on October 30th and 31st  @ The Crowne Plaza -Brookhollow in Houston Texas
What expenses does my entry fee cover during the pageant?
Producing and running a pageant of this caliber requires substantial income. Hotel expenses (including ballroom rental, rooms, food, etc) are not complimentary, contrary to what some might believe. Additionally, marketing and advertising the pageant, producing a high quality program book, judges and staff expenses,  accommodations  for returning Queens  to the state pageant, and much more all come into play when budgeting for this kind of an event. We did our research and our entry fee is very comparable to other pageants of this caliber. Our pageant is the *best* pageant value.
What resources are available to me when I enter?
Once we receive your 100.00 deposit to reserve your title. You will receive a Packet with a CD of  the Delegates Handbook  and all of the forms required for competition.
What forms of payment does the pageant accept?
You may pay online via credit card or we accept Personal Checks up until 1 month before the pageant. A 40.00 NSF fee will be charged for all return checks. Please make your check or money order payable to The Emerald Production Group/Deanna Garza,  mail it to 9975 Burntfork St. Houston, Texas 77064. What kind of commitments do I have to make the year of my reign should I win?
As the state titleholder, you are required to make 20 appearances during your years reign.
